Voice Therapy

Do you get chronic laryngitis? Do you lose your voice after doing a lot of talking? Is it hard to make your voice louder when you need to?


Vocational voice users, or people who use their voice often for their jobs, including teachers, singers, phone customer service agents, sales people, and coaches are more likely to suffer for voice difficulties that may require voice therapy.

Your speech language pathologist can help you identify the causes and factors that may make your voice worse and what can be done to improve your voice.


A few strategies you can start to practice include:

  • Hydrate! Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day

  • Don't shout! Try not to talk in noisy environments

  • Limit how long you talk. Take breaks as needed
